Exhibition

An exhibition was held

to help us fundraise for

our New Blood venture in June 2012

at Cellar 35.

It was just fun to see everyone having

a good time before Christmas comes.

Also, there was a whole array of different

work to see.

Watch out 2012 because we will

be putting on another exhibition.

The Design of Debbie & Dave's Wedding day

It was a bright autumn day at Pittodrie House

With a beautiful view over Mountain Bennachie.

My job in designing for Debbie & Dave's big day was to give the venue a vintage feel.

Included in the decoration of Pittodrie House

were my Handmade jars with unique quotes individually typed up using my Grandfathers old typewriter.

Each piece of Fabric used on my jars are sourced second hand, adding to the vintage feel.

The threads on each label were customised to Debbie's wedding colour which was a gorgeous pink.

Also included in the decoration of the venue was my handmade Doilly bunting which hung in the Billiard room along with my heart cut outs pictured below.

The room where the ceremony was taking place had to be extra special so I adorned my birdcage with flowers and decorated the tables with some of the beautiful flowers which were designed by Mairi.
she owns a beautiful shop called Flourish in Aberdeen.

Its ugly but I Heart it

I bought this old weird bedside table from a charity shop for £3 and while everyone around me was saying "nooooooo, why would you want to buy such a thing" for me it seemed so right.  

yeah its green, yeah its dirty, yeah its ugly but that's all part of the beauty for me.

There was this horrid flower pattern under the glass top which I replaced with my own work and some lace.

But I heart it.

Unique Wedding Gift

There is alot of pressure at wedding's especially if its someone close to you that is tying the knot.

For me that person was my big sister.

Been through everything together she is my best friend in the whole world and have her to thank for my ambition and determination in life.

It was important to make her wedding The most personal day ever.

I wanted to get creative.

I was giving the "Maid of Honour" speech so when writing my cue cards I wrote them on really tactile paper and then

typed a personal message on the front that only she and I could relate too using my Grandpas old typewriter.
 Then using a sewing machine embroidered that with some fabric onto the cue cards.

This could then be framed and sent as a gift on a later date or as part of a Wedding present.

The Pop up Shop

FeetandTea had its first outing at STAG pop up shop and let me tell you it was very exciting.  There were lots of other stalls there selling vintage clothes and loads of delicious cupcakes, however it is fair to stay that we definitely stood out with all our reclaimed scrap furniture that I refurbished myself and a few pretty flowers and prints on old coat hangers.

Not only did I manage to sell lots of lovely unique cards that were up for grabs my favourite being,

"I love you even though you talk utter shite"

and

"I know I love you because I can leave

the toilet door open"

I also made my individually unique candle jars with special embroidered message on them along with FeetandTea cushions.

The grand finale for me was to showcase my 

"Live a Little" print

for all to see.  I spent a total of 48 hours on this piece spread over two weeks.  I drew 23,000 circles on it by hand using nothing but 8 Steadler 0.3 fineliners kindly purchased from the Grays school of Art shop.
